Stay Ahead: NICE Compliance and Continuing Education Reminders
As we step into a new compliance year, it’s a great time to reaffirm your commitment to professional development through the National IRES Continuing Education (“NICE”) Program. Whether you’re a seasoned designation holder or newly certified, staying current with your Continuing Education (“CE”) credits ensures your designation remains active and recognized by IRES and the broader insurance community.
Did You Miss the October 1st Deadline?
If you hold an AIE®, CIE®, or CICSR® designation and did not submit your CE credits for the 2024–2025 compliance period by the October 1, 2025 deadline, your designation will become inactive. This means IRES will not endorse your designation to employers, the NAIC, or other professional organizations.
To reactivate your designation:
Submit proof of fifteen (15) hours of qualifying CE earned within the last twelve (12) months.
Pay the thirty dollars ($30) reactivation fee.
Once the required information is received, the Accreditation & Ethics Committee will consider your reactivation request at its next meeting.
New Compliance Period Is Underway
The 2025–2026 NICE compliance period began on September 1, 2025. Here’s what you need to know:
Earn at least fifteen (15) CE hours by August 31, 2026
Report your CE credits no later than September 30, 2026
You can submit your credits as you earn them — no need to wait until the deadline. The NICE Submission Form is available year-round on the IRES website.
Quick Submission Guide
Log in to your IRES account via the Member Portal option on the IRES website.
Navigate to the Professional Development tab.
Click +Add Entry under Journal Entries.
Complete the CE Submission Form and attach your certificate or proof of completion.
Click Submit.
Keep Your Contact Info Current
Don’t miss important updates! Log in to your IRES account and confirm that your email and contact details are current. This guarantees you receive timely reminders and notifications about your designation and CE requirements.
