The Accreditation & Ethics Committee works in cooperation with the Education Committee to design or update curriculum for the AIE®, CIE®, and CICSR® professional designations. They are responsible for reviewing, updating, and implementing a code of professional standards and ethics for IRES members and investigate any allegations of violations of this code. This committee also designs and implements the mandatory continuing education program for members holding IRES professional designations.
If you are a strong supporter of the Society’s designation program and want to work to enhance its reputation and maintain its integrity, this may be the committee for you.

CE Audit Responsible for conducting the annual audit of continuing education (CE) credits of members that hold an IRES designation.

The Budget & Finance Committee’s role is to maintain the financial solvency of IRES by facilitating effective financial operations. In addition to creating, maintaining and balancing the budget, the Committee works to maximize the investment income of the Society in a safe and effective manner.

The CDS Committee plans and develops the annual Career Development Seminar (CDS), presides over the format of CDS (including securing speakers for the event), and sets up sponsorships and any advertising for CDS.

The Education Committee has overall responsibility for planning and executing educational opportunities that are sponsored by IRES. This committee works in partnership with the Accreditation and Ethics Committee on revisions to the AIE® and CIE® designation programs as well as creating new educational opportunities for members such as webinars and designation assistance programs. The Education Committee also acts as the liaison between the NAIC and other professional societies on matters related to member education.
If you are interested in helping provide quality educational opportunities to the members of the Society, consider volunteering to help with the Education Committee.

The MCM/AMCM Committee is responsible for overseeing the MCM and AMCM designations. This includes scheduling MCM and AMCM programs, advertising the programs, and keeping the content of both program current and relevant.

The Meetings & Elections Committee establishes the rules and procedures for elections and member voting for the IRES Board of Directors and supervises the election process. They are responsible for presiding over the elections at IRES’s annual meeting held at the Career Development Seminar (CDS). This committee is also responsible for the selection of sites for CDS and other Society meetings.
If you are interested in selecting the CDS site locations or helping with the Society’s elections, consider joining the Meetings & Election Committee.

The Membership & Benefits Committee is responsible for recruiting new members, reviewing applications for membership, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors, as well as maintaining communication with IRES members and enhancing the reputation of IRES with members and the public. The Committee also maintains the records for IRES State Chairs and develops methods of effectively communicating the unique benefits of IRES membership. This committee has several subcommittees to focus on the unique responsibilities of this group.

Awards & Recognition This subcommittee is responsible for soliciting, collecting and assembling nominations for the Al Greer Award, Chartrand Communication Award, Al Gross/Jim Long Rookie of the Year Scholarships and the Thomas L. Reents Memorial Scholarship. Help your peers get recognition for doing great work by joining this subcommittee.
General Membership Promotes growth and awareness in the Society; responsible for designing and running the annual membership drive and finding new ways to encourage current members to recruit new members to IRES.
State Chairs Creates and maintains a database of individuals serving as State Chair; helps to promote the State Chair position and find replacements for State Chairs upon their departure; and develops and maintains the State Chair handbook and provides support to State Chairs.
Sustaining Membership Responsible for retaining and growing the Sustaining Membership base of the Society by seeking ways to increase and enhance Sustaining Membership.

The Publications & Public Relations Committee oversees the publication of The Regulator®, other IRES-sponsored publications, the website, social media outlets, and the distribution of information sent to the entire membership. If you are a grammatical wizard, can spot a typo in record time, or are just plain good at reading and writing, we need your expertise on the Publications Committee.
