Each year, IRES proudly hosts the Career Development Seminar (CDS), its flagship professional development event. In 2026, we will gather in Pittsburgh, PA—a city built on strength and resilience—to embrace our theme: Forging the Future: Inspiring, Innovating, and Improving Market Regulation. This premier event is designed to equip insurance professionals with the tools and insights needed to shape the next era of regulation, blending tradition with forward-thinking strategies to meet the challenges of an evolving marketplace.
The CDS delivers a dynamic program designed to forge new paths in insurance market regulation, featuring influential keynote speakers and interactive breakout sessions across the full spectrum of regulatory topics. From line-specific presentations to hands-on tools for strengthening and refining regulatory processes, attendees will uncover cutting-edge ideas and practical solutions. General sessions will energize and challenge participants to think boldly about the future of market regulation, while breakout sessions will tackle critical issues in life, health, and property & casualty insurance and address cross-disciplinary challenges that shape the regulatory landscape—ensuring attendees leave ready to hammer out innovations and lead with strength.

Career Development Seminar (CDS) No-Show & Refund Policy
We recognize that plans may change and aim to offer flexibility to attendees of the Career Development Seminar (CDS). However, to ensure smooth event logistics, the following refund policy will be applied to all registrations:

Full Refund: Registrants who cancel their participation at least four weeks prior to the event will be eligible for a full refund of their registration fee.

50% Refund: Registrants who cancel their participation between four and two weeks prior to the event will be eligible for a 50% refund of their registration fee.

No Refund: Registrants who cancel less than two weeks before the event or do not attend without prior cancellation will not be eligible for a refund.
To request a cancellation and refund, you must send an email to info@go-ires.org by the deadline. No phone calls or texts will be accepted. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the event.
