Tell us about yourself.
I have been with the department for six years. Previously, I worked in the insurance industry handling complex bodily injury litigation. I obtained my B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and my J.D. from Western New England University. Originally from Hawai’i, I have had the opportunity to experience different parts of the U.S. and look forward to more travel now that my children are grown up (for the most part!).
How long have you been a member of IRES?
I have been a member of IRES for less than a year, however, was able to attend the CDS last year which enhanced my understanding of IRES and all the great opportunities available through the Society.
What made you get involved as a State Chair?
Our previous State Chair left her position earlier this year, and I had the opportunity to learn a great deal about IRES from her. Having New Hampshire be represented allows us to stay up to date and involved with national issues pertaining to insurance regulation.
Do you have any advice for new IRES members to make the most out of their membership?
First and foremost, I would encourage a new IRES member to attend an annual CDS. This experience allows a new member to make connections with other insurance professionals in a warm and collaborative setting. In addition, taking advantage of courses and designations will help a new member grow and enhance their insurance knowledge.
