The Accreditation & Ethics Committee works in cooperation with the Education Committee to design or update curriculum for the AIE®, CIE®, and CICSR® professional designations. They are responsible for reviewing, updating, and implementing a code of professional standards and ethics for IRES members and investigate any allegations of violations of this code. This committee also designs and implements the mandatory continuing education program for members holding IRES professional designations.
If you are a strong supporter of the Society’s designation program and want to work to enhance its reputation and maintain its integrity, this may be the committee for you.

The Budget & Finance Committee ensures IRES's financial stability by managing budgets and optimizing investment income responsibly. The committee is led by Chair Chris Heisler, CIE, MCM, from the Illinois Department of Insurance. Professionals with financial expertise are encouraged to contribute to this vital committee.

The CDS Committee plans and develops the annual Career Development Seminar (CDS), presides over the format of CDS (including securing speakers for the event), and sets up sponsorships and any advertising for CDS.

The Education Committee has overall responsibility for planning and executing educational opportunities that are sponsored by IRES. This committee works in partnership with the Accreditation and Ethics Committee on revisions to the AIE® and CIE® designation programs as well as creating new educational opportunities for members such as webinars and designation assistance programs. The Education Committee also acts as the liaison between the NAIC and other professional societies on matters related to member education.
If you are interested in helping provide quality educational opportunities to the members of the Society, consider volunteering to help with the Education Committee.

The MCM/AMCM Committee oversees the MCM and AMCM designation programs, ensuring their content remains current and relevant. The committee also manages program scheduling and advertising. The current chair is Shelly Schuman, AIE, AMCM, CICSR, from The INS Companies.

The Meetings & Elections Committee establishes the rules and procedures for elections and member voting for the IRES Board of Directors and supervises the election process. They are responsible for presiding over the elections at IRES’s annual meeting held at the Career Development Seminar (CDS). This committee is also responsible for the selection of sites for CDS and other Society meetings.

The Membership & Benefits Committee focuses on recruiting and retaining members, reviewing membership applications, and enhancing IRES's reputation among members and the public. It also manages records for IRES State Chairs and communicates the benefits of membership effectively. Subcommittees include Awards & Recognition, General Membership, State Chairs, and Sustaining Membership. The committee is chaired by Brett Bache, CIE, MCM, from the Rhode Island Insurance Division.

The Publications & Public Relations Committee is responsible for managing The Regulator® publication, other IRES-sponsored materials, the website, and social media platforms. This committee ensures accurate and professional communication with all members. Current leadership includes Chair Michelle Heaton, MCM AIE, from the New Hampshire Insurance Department, and Subcommittee Chair Stephanie Duchene.
