Tell us about yourself.

I’m a 4th generation insurance professional. After college, my dad asked if I would like to join the family agency that he and my grandpa started in the ‘70s. It took a few years, but I joined the family business in September of 2006. I worked for my family agency until May of 2014, when I was hired to be the senior agent for Wyoming at AAA Mountain West. During that time, I was fortunate enough to be elected as President of the Association of Wyoming Insurance Agents, which is the combined entity of PIA and IIABA in Wyoming, for 2017-2018. I joined the Wyoming Department of Insurance in May of 2020. I was initially hired to supervise the producer licensing section and was promoted to my current position in May of 2023.

My wife, Ginni, and I are nearing our 10-year anniversary! We enjoy our life in Cheyenne with our two dogs and two cats and are very active in volunteering with Cheyenne Frontier Days. If you ever want to talk rodeo, I’m here for it!

How long have you been a member of IRES?

I joined IRES in 2024 when I was earning my MCM.

What made you get involved as a State Chair?

I’m pretty sure I’m one of the only IRES members in Wyoming, so I was an easy target 😊

Do you have any advice for new IRES members to make the most out of their membership?

Don’t be scared to pick up the phone! We’re all in this together. If you’ve got questions about how or why a company or state is doing what they’re doing, just pick up the phone and give them a call!
