State Chairs
The State Chair is the most important source of communication between the IRES Board of Directors and the Committees of IRES and its members. To facilitate this communication, each member belongs to a State Chapter based on their membership status and declared affiliation. Regulator members belong to the State Chapter to which he has declared an affiliation with to IRES. Non-affiliated general members actively engaged in regulation are linked with the National Chapter for Unaffiliated Members. Retired members are connected with the National Retired Member Chapter. All other members are associated with the National Chapter for Sustaining Members.
The State Chair must be registered with the Chair or Vice Chair of the Membership & Benefits Committee and the Executive Secretary to act in that capacity. It is the responsibility of the State Chair to stay in touch with the members, disseminate IRES materials and information to regulators in their respective state, promote the benefits of the AIE and CIE designations, sponsoring educational programs, organizing and running State Chapter Meetings, communicate the members' wishes to the Committee Chairs and Board of Directors, and work with the Membership & Benefits Committee to increase membership and enhance the reputation and awareness of IRES.
