Dues Information

IRES has two categories of members, General Membership and Sustaining Membership. No matter which membership category you belong to, there are many benefits of being a member of IRES. Join Now!

General Membership

General Membership is open to anyone who works for or contracts with a state or federal agency that is involved in insurance regulation, regardless of their title or position. The General Membership category is broken down into the following five membership types. Click here for more information on the types of membership.


  • General Member: $75
  • General Accredited Member: $100
  • General Certified Member: $110
  • Non-voting General Member: Same as General Members based on designation status
  • Retired Member: $45

Dues are due annually and membership is on a calendar year basis, January 1st through December 31st. Dues for those individuals joining IRES after October 1st will cover membership through the end of the next full calendar year.

Sustaining Membership

Sustaining Membership is open to Insurance companies, individuals, associations, partnerships, sole proprietorships, corporations, and other entities that are involved in the insurance industry and interested in the continued education and professional development of individuals involved in regulating the insurance industry. The Sustaining Membership category is broken down into the following three membership types.   • Individual Sustaining Member: $175
  • Firm Sustaining Member: $360
  • Student Sustaining Member: $45

Dues are due annually and the membership year runs from June 1st through May 31st. Dues for those joining after December 31st is ½ of the fee listed above.

General Dues Information


  • Payment must accompany the application for membership.
  • Dues are payable in U.S. funds.
  • Checks should be made payable to INSURANCE REGULATORY EXAMINERS SOCIETY.
  • Dues are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the IRES Board of Directors and/or the IRES Executive Committee.
